Rising Tide runs exclusively on donations, grants and fundraisers coordinated by our team. While fundraisers and grants sustain our work in multiple ways, donations are significant in supporting our operational expenses, gear needs and transportation.

Rising Tide Go Fund Me Campaign

We are open to any types of donations, and with an average youth count of 15 participants for events and sessions, collective support can fund an entire program. Here are some examples of how far support can go:

• Cost of one surf session (We run a minimum of 20 a year) : 

$300 Instructors + $180 Indigenous youth facilitators + $250 coordination + $200 cultural honoraria = $930

• Cost of equipment and maintenance : 

We contract our instructors, youth leaders and coordinators to do the maintenance. Our equipment needs this year are: Additional wetsuits, snorkel gear, Yeti coolers for camps= $4,500

• Cost of summer camp attendance for one youth = $1,400 (on average)

Camp expenses include language sessions up to $400 depending upon the number of knowledge holders, surf sessions are $930 each (see above), and one skateboarding session is $250
